The Role of a Healthy Lifestyle and Physical Culture in the Career Orientation of High School Graduates

This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the personal, social, professional, and psychological factors influencing high school graduates’ choice of the “Physical Culture and Sports” specialty, highlighting their interrelation and significance. Unlike previous studies that focused mainly on individual aspects, this research offers an integrated approach to examining all key influencing factors. Special attention is given to the role of a healthy lifestyle as a core value affecting the career orientation of young people. It is demonstrated that the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle and interest in physical activity play a decisive role in students' career choices. The article emphasizes the need to develop targeted programs and organize activities at the school level to increase interest in the “Physical Culture and Sports” specialty. These proposals aim to introduce new methods for enhancing professional motivation by promoting physical culture and healthy living. Furthermore, the study provides a detailed analysis of the current state of the physical culture and sports sector in Kazakhstan, as well as the main challenges and issues faced by students when choosing this field. Overall, this research can serve as a foundation for improving professional guidance systems and developing strategies to strengthen youth engagement in healthy lifestyles and sports-related careers.
