Abstract

The scientific work examines the specifics of studying the course “History of Kazakhstan” by foreign students from India and Pakistan based on research conducted at the West Kazakhstan M. Ospanov Medical University. The study of the course on development of the historical process, the formation of the political system of Kazakh statehood, national culture and traditions helps the perception of new social conditions and the adaptation of foreign students in the  Republic of Kazakhstan. In this context, the subject of history of Kazakhstan plays the role of the main component of the educational process, which effectively creates an environment for more successful integration of foreign students from distant countries into the new realities of society. The discipline, specifically in the case of foreign students, helps them in understand the modern-day Kazakhstani realities, in which they will have to assimilate, through the prism of historical processes occurring within the country. In the course of the study conducted among the first-year students of the International Medical Faculty of West Kazakhstan M. Ospanov Medical University the results confirmed the necessity of studying the course “History of Kazakhstan” in the educational process were obtained. Pedagogical observation during the practical and lecture classes revealed the periods of development of the history of Kazakhstan, that most interested students and the historical events that sparked discussion among students.
