Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the practice of teachers using visual and demonstrative materials on Fine arts at school, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of special multimodal series of lessons aimed at developing the necessary level of skills for students to work from nature. The content of the lessons included multimodal content for in-depth study of the topic “Art of still life” in the section of the long-term plan “Visual Art” of the TEP on the subject “Artistic work” for grades 5-9, where the basic techniques and methods of Descriptive geometry are clearly applied in the interpretation of objects of the educational setting of still life using the capabilities of the AutoCAD system for its visualization.
Conducting this kind of research is primarily due to the need to find all possible ways to develop imagination and spatial thinking in students for their more convincing transmission of forms and the mutual relationship of spatial figures in the drawing. The research methods include an expert analysis of students' drawings from the still life setting and a questionnaire aimed at identifying their levels of formation of the necessary skills for further successful drawing from nature, i.e. transfers the proportions of drawing objects, spatial relationships of objects, light and shadows of objects. The study was conducted in 2 secondary schools in Almaty and was attended by 100 5th grade students (50 experimental group students, 50 control groups).
