The Development of Monologue Speech Techniques for Schoolchildren

This article raises the problem of developing the culture of monologue speech of schoolchildren. The purpose of the article is to present the evaluation criteria related to checking the effectiveness of the monologue speech technique of schoolchildren. Theoretical, empirical and statistical research methods were used in writing the article. Various approaches to the methodology of monologue speech are comprehensively analyzed. Seven criteria were proposed for evaluating monologue speech skills, five basic and two additional ones. The scores were adjusted according to a scale compiled for each criterion. The proposed evaluation criteria were used in a methodological experiment conducted at secondary school “Zhalin” Shymkent city. The experiment in question is aimed at verifying the effectiveness of the developed methodology for teaching monologue to school-age students. Three experimental groups of 9th grade students were formed in the methodological experiment, a total of 34 students took part. The conducted experiment confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed technique.
